Hello! My name is Kyra Zeidan, and I am a Speech & Language therapist living in Ontario, Canada with my husband and our three children. I am originally from Lebanon. I have a Master’s degree in Speech & Language Therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
I have a passion working with children living a challenge in their lives (language delay, developmental delay/disorder, stuttering) and supporting their parents too. Those parents who may find it hard to interfere with their children daily to prevent these challenges from getting worse and to support them in everyday situations. I also enjoy supporting people who stutter, gain control over their speech and reduce the negative feelings associated with their stuttering.
My passion for supporting children in their language development and literacy skills has driven me to start a new exciting career as a children’s author. I wrote my first book that was inspired by our move, as a family, to live in Canada. What is also exciting about the book is that it was illustrated by a talented neurodivergent person (on the Autism Spectrum Disorder) whom I have known and interacted with since 2005.
