How did writing and self-publishing all started?

It all started with an idea! An idea that came to me on Christmas eve 2020. I was on vacation in Dubai. On my way back to the hotel, the idea of writing a book came to my mind. It was not a simple idea, I directly envisioned it as a special project. Why? because I wanted the story to be illustrated by a neurodiverse person I knew since 2005. Because I knew (and believed) beforehand that this project will be successful and because I believe that if I don’t give I am not eligible to take anything in life, I took the decision to have part of the proceeds go to support the education of children around the world.

When I started writing the story of this little girl who travels in her dreams and visits 6 countries, I thought, why not to add a map and figurines to the story and make it interactive and engaging for children.

Determined to have this idea come to life, and after receiving many contracts from publishers to publish the book ONLY and not the whole kit (map and figurines included) I decided to following my passion and took a bold decision to self- publish my own books, to craft and create children’s books that promote language development and literacy skills through an engaging material.
